Slow Down Like You’re Wearing High Heels

I noticed the other day while walking –that I walk a lot slower when I wear high heels.

Have you ever noticed that?  My walk is a bit slower, my hips move a bit more, my thoughts are calmer {truthfully they are just concentrating on where the next step is going and how do i keep myself from falling on my face}…but everything is a little more melodic.  Well, ok not necessarily melodic– how about spunky, focused, spirited…….

I am thinking that with my craft blog I need to wear some high heels sometimes.  Change it up a bit— give it some high heel spice, I guess.  Turn in those summer flip flops {even for just a day} and whip out those sassy shoes and let them work their wonders.   For some reason they work a bit of magic at least with me……

There are a few things that we can learn to do differently from wearing high heels.

  • I need to think things through—before acting or reacting.
  • I need to take a moment to plan ahead.  Make that step intentional— and follow through.
  • Make those hips swing….show off that great booty stuff.  Get some eyes to turn your way….be noticed.
  • Hold your head up and smile…legs look thinner when you are tiptoeing anyways, so for once enjoy it.
  • Change your attitude.  For reasons unknown I get a bit sassy with heels.  Let this spunk rule for a bit and take charge.
  • Giggle, flirt— or network, email and tweet like everyones your best friend.
  • When you do biff it, jump up…brush off and start again.
  • Sometimes you can flip the shoes off and walk barefooted…..let go and have fun.  Don't let those heels get dust though— break them out every once in awhile and let them do their thing.    boooya.
